A new television show aimed at promoting rugby in the region has been launched online this week.
Borders Rugby Television is the brainchild of local broadcaster Stuart Cameron, who has been running Scottish Rugby Radio for three years and brings more than 30 years' experience as a sports presenter and producer to the table.

The weekly 10-minu
te programmes will feature the latest news as well as a roundup of weekend matches, including chat with players and coaches as well as live action highlights.

Stuart will host the shows along with Richie Gray and other local broadcasters who share a passion for club rugby in the Borders.

The programmes are part of the BordersRugby.net website, which also features dedicated pages with information and news from each of the nine 'core' teams and other senior and junior action.

Stuart said: "Borders Rugby Television is a venture I have been keen to work on for some time. I love the way all Borders media supports the local rugby scene – the coverage rugby gets in the Borders is first class and the envy of clubs outside the area – but with the launch of Borders Rugby Television we can add another dimension to that coverage, and the TV side is just one part of what we will be doing.

"The website is packed with information to enhance the clubs' own sites."

What do you think of the various video pieces we upload to the website?
They're a good idea and I always have a look
So far so good but I'd like to see more in terms of numbers and variety
I never watch them
